Advanced mathematics students at CheongShim International Academy in South Korea, through their affiliation with Mu Alpha Theta, will be volunteering as tutors for NSTEP's Study Buddy program.

NSTEP participated in and presented at the first ever Motorola Foundation Innovation Generation Conference.  Attended by recipients of Motorola's Innovation Generation grants, attendees participated in discussions of best practices for teaching innovation and entrepreneurship as well as pre-engineer, out-of-school, girl-centric and sustainability programming.

Study Buddy will be introduced at George Mason University's Early Identification Program during the three week Summer Academy.  The partnership will continue during the school year.

The Carl M. Freeman Foundation has awarded NSTEP a $5,000 FACES grant to bring the Study Buddy program to Sussex County, Delaware.

The Commonweal Foundation Fund of The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region has awarded NSTEP $10,000 to support the Greater Washington Study Buddy Program for the 2009-2010 school year.

The Arlington Community Foundation has awarded NSTEP $1,000 to expand its Study Buddy program in Arlington County, Virginia for the 2009-2010 school year.

The Motorola Foundation announced an award of $63,200 to NSTEP to support the Study Buddy program for the 2009-2010 school year.

The William G. McGowan Charitable Fund has awarded NSTEP $35,000 to bring the Study Buddy program to Washoe County (Reno), Nevada for the 2009-2010 school year.

The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region has awarded NSTEP $2,500 to support the Greater Washington Study Buddy Program for the 2009-2010 school year.

The Weather Channel Interactive has donated $25,000 to NSTEP in support of its Study Buddy and TechXplore programs.  The Weather Channel Interactive won the money that it contributed in a Google-sponsored technology development contest, and chose NSTEP to receive its prize.

The Stranahan Foundation has awarded $25,000 to NSTEP to support the Study Buddy program in New York City.
